The Linanne family offers you a warm and hearty welcome. Fernhill Farmhouse is a working cattle farm in the heart of North County Clare at the edge of the Burren, one of Ireland's natural wonders.

Fernhill Farmhouse was originally built as a priest's house more than 200 years ago but was ultimately sold as a family home and working farm. The house has been continually occupied and farmed since that time. Fernhill Farm opened its doors to guests nearly forty years ago and has been privileged to serve people from all over the world.

Fernhill Farmhouse is ideally situated midway between Doolin Village and the Victorian spa town of Lisdoonvarna. Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, for the Micko Russell Memorial Weekend in Doolin or the Lisdoonvarna Matchmakers Festival, you're sure to find a welcome and relaxing stay with Fernhill Farm.

Suzanne's hospitality was heartwarming and I felt immediately at home upon arriving at the farmhouse/b&b. The electric blanket on my bed and the gourmet touches, such as the fresh tomatoes picked that morning from her garden for my breakfast, were just a couple of Suzanne's signature touches that will bring me back again and again. ~T. Fernhill Farmhouse is home from home. We received traditional Irish hospitality from the moment we stepped through the front door. We loved our room. The view couldn't have been more bucolic. Waking in the morning to the sound of birds chirping and cows in the fields is the stuff of imagination, but a reality at Suzanne's. We loved every moment, and hated to leave. We'll be back! ! A. Suzanne and her mother Tessie, who first opened Fernhill as a bed and breakfast, have become like family. We discovered this hidden jewel in North Clare seven years ago and will stay no where else when we're traveling in the area. We were immediately impressed by the warmth of the very first welcome and it hasn't diminished in all these years. ~ P. Shortland

This was our first visit to Ireland, and Suzanne made us really welcome. We saw a lot of Ireland, traveling as far south as Cork and as far north as Derry, and of all the places we stayed in our three weeks in Ireland, Fernhill Farmhouse was by far the best and most hospitable. We're planning a return trip and will definitely plan to stay a little longer the next time. ~ C.Gilbert
